Inspiration

The client was intrigued by a bright, vintage, Mexican aesthetic, with a bold, unique word mark accompanied by illustrations, possibly more than one to create an expansive logo book.

Logo Development

Round One
Here, they were toying around with a few different ideas of what exactly the iconography in the logo should be. We landed on a skull moth, a diamondback snake, and a cowboy skull. All of this imagery is prevalent in Mexican culture, and exudes the modern vibe they were looking for.

Round Two
During this round, there was a pivot to focusing on the word mark for the logo and foregoing the iconography until that was nailed down.

Round Three
Once the word mark was established, the client decided to bring back in the cowboy skulls, chatting like old friends - or compadres.
